based on pf action, if i were villain i would play AA and JJ(less likely)the same way(maybe even QQ or KK, too). i think you ran into AA or 99, though.

Colder.

I called. I lost. No one has mentioned the hand MP had though . I guess I'm just frustrated at making this call and losing again and again, although thats whats supposed to happen.

[/ QUOTE ]

I didn't speculate what MP2 had because it's based on the pot size. I think you are behind here a vast majority if the time but there is no way you can fold this.

Wow. I may have to check out Absolute.

And yeah, I call. I've played 7000 hands in the past week and a half delving back into limit, and I've had a few of these. I think the best thing to do is giggle and think: wow, how hugely +EV is their insane chasing for me?

I've read about 6 responses and just have to say, this thread is ridiculous. Calling for info is ridiculous (especially as we have no reason to believe that Button won't call and allow us to get the info for free)...of course, it's slightly more ridiculous to think that an otherwise unknown 5/10 player is bluff-c/r'ing TWO players on the river 1 time in 16. Hell, make it 1 time in 20, it's not happening.

And, no, this isn't AA or JJ or 99...no pfr. This is a crappy two-pair, baby set or straight hand all day every day, but that doesn't make it any less nonsensical to try and force a reason to call.

Edit: Uh, James, which Villan? MP? So, you're routinely limping AA/JJ/99 in MP? Button, maybe, has AA/JJ, but the off chance that we have the THIRD-best hand doesn't really make it any more wise to call, does it?

You have come this far, you are getting 14 to 1. I'd just go ahead and call. MP1 likely with set of jacks, but I think you will win this one enought to make it profitable.

I agree you're not winning one time in 15 here, but call just due to the fact that you'll go on mad monkey-tilt if you fold and he proudly shows a "slowplayed" QQ or something retarded like that.

I believe that you are not going to see a protected river bluff-raise often enough to call here against an unknown.

To call this I need a read that my opponent is aggressive and tricky and knows that there is a good chance I will fold here.

You are going to see what he has anyway. Make the fold and take a note if it's a bluff.

Monkey tilt boy.... You make a good play no reason to to go off the deep end if the results don't bear out. The only way to never fold a winning hand is to call everything and that is going to get you busted faster than you can say monkey tilt.
