This situation is getting dire... It does not hurt to have one more person giving their reasoning why we all need to CALL our senators.

[/ QUOTE ]

Do you have any specific recomendations on which senators to call? Does he have any specific advice as to why a specific senator might not let this attach to the DoD bill. As of now, I am urging senators to not allow a non-related rider to attach to the DoD bill, since it is an improper circumvention of a full and fair debate of the internet gambling issue.

Very sneaky of the guy slipping it into the DoD bill.

Couldn't get it passed on its own so this is what he came up with.

Dammit.

approx. 270 for authorities to be able to deem what is and isn't considered an 'illegal' transaction from what i understand. there's no need to withdrawl your cash or stop playing - you'll have plenty of time to do so.

so if the bill passes with the ban on gambling, doesnt' that mean we are not allowed to deposit with a credit card? Or does that mean we can't withdraw either?

My understanding is that Neteller has a much bigger market for non-gaming stuff in Europe, a market which PayPal is very interested in expanding into.

[/ QUOTE ]

oh, i didn't know that. i've never found anything i could spend my neteller loot on that wasn't poker related.

[/ QUOTE ]

At this moment Neteller only accepts online casino's and pokerrooms as merchants. The only way to accept payments if you are in another online business is to do it via Peer to Peer transfers on a personal account.

Source of this information? As far as I know, this is not true at all.

[/ QUOTE ]

My source was Neteller merchant support. The representative told me they were planning on accepting other types of merchants 'in a few months'.

edit: he literally asked me when I inquired if my webshop would be able to add Neteller to the payment options: 'Are you an online casino or pokerroom?'. I said 'no I am not'. He replies: 'Then I am sorry sir, you will not be able to open an Neteller merchant account at this time'.

Neteller wanted PokerTracker to become a merchant to accept payment. They are not a casino or poker room. Perhaps this is yet another instance of a support personel not knowing what they are talking about.
