Got sandwiched with 99 overpair
Playing live and this hand came up that put me in a tough decision. What would you do and why?
Hero(Button) - Tight Aggressive image ($350) Villian1(UTG) - Kind of a donkey, I haven't been watching him closely but I recall a few bad plays. ($150) Villian2(UTG+1) - Similar to Villian1 ($150) Villian3(LP) - Loose and aggressive. Tries bluffs and isn't affraid to get his stack in with draws. He is experienced but I think he is too loose for his own good. He has $400 behind. This game is 9 handed. Hero has (9c9s) Villian1 calls $2 Villian2 raises to $12 1 folds MP calls $12 MP+1 calls $12 Villian3 calls $12 Hero thinks about raising but then just calls $12 blinds fold Villian1 calls $10 more Flop 3s 7h 8d (Pot ~ 75) UTG raises to $30 UTG+1 calls $30 MP folds MP+1 folds Villian3 raises to $100 Hero? I'm sandwiched! |

Re: Got sandwiched with 99 overpair
This is a pretty easy fold for me. The fact that you have two of the nines makes it a lot more likely that Villain3 has a made hand rather than a draw.

Re: Got sandwiched with 99 overpair
fold, this is terrible spot for your nines. This was a 5 way flop and it has just been bet, called, and then raised. You are not in the good position of ending the betting, even if you were, its still an easy fold. And you were not sandwiched, had you been mp+1 and called, then someone raised behind you, then you would have been sandwiched.

Re: Got sandwiched with 99 overpair
If the players are so extremly bad that you even consider not folding i still fold and wait for a better spot to get there $$
