Re: Colorado (Denver area-ish)
You can't beat these clowns. The play is so terrible it is impossible to win. Move to a different state where they will respect your bets.

Re: Colorado (Denver area-ish)
Thanks for all the info. I went, put in some hours, got some comps, made some money, I probably won't be going back for a while. My internet was down for a few weekends, so I put in 3 long (10 hour) days. It was about what I expected $2 preflop on 80% of the hands, and $5 bets from there on out. There was some similar games in montana when I was there, so I was kind of used to it, and did pretty well.
Anyways, it's pretty silly in this state, and as someone pointed out, the exact people that shouldn't be gambling are the ones dropping 4-5 racks with a 90% vpip. I couldn't believe how poorly the "regulars" were. I mean, there were quite a few people who were well-known doing really silly things like getting down to $15 and not rebuying. I didn't check out any tournies, but I imagine they are faster than the people who play them realize. I'm sure all the games and tournies are definetly profitable, but it feels like a waste of time financially, especially after gas, etc... Thanks for all your help. Guess I'll save up for a vegas trip later in the year to scratch my live poker itch. |
