I think calling for set value is okay here. The problem, of course, is that you're not closing the action. Most people silly enough to min-raise won't 3-bet big though, so I'd call here w/ most any pair. Folding isn't bad either though.

I like a call, but the critical thing to keep in mind is that you must not play on if you miss your set, even on a "favorable" flop of all undercards. Keeping this in mind, flop a ten.

I call if there's 3 in already for 100 each AND I'm closing the action...the small chance that this gets bumped again by the OPFR is enough to offset my set value implied odds.

If this guy has already minraised or has been playing a lot of hands, I may be less worried and call...You're gonna stack someone if you hit so the odds are there, but I just don't like calling off so much if I'm not last to act PF.

The above has been mentioned though but I just wanted to reiterate that I don't think calling is horrible...

min raise smells nasty, your not closing action and its 1/15th of your stack. I fold.

This is close, it's just read dependent on how often the original raiser will three bet.

OP said it's the first hand of the SNG.

I like the fold because you are probably up against at least 2 over cards, probably 3, if not someone getting cute with a higher pair.

Without a read, I think original minraiser will 3 bet here often enough to make it a bad call. We've all seen the minraise with AA, and he could just be the guy who gets 1500 chips in with A6 or something. Either way, I think it's thin enough in the first place that any kind of frequency of 3-betting makes it a fold.

Totally irrelevant...if hero is playing this its for set only whether he flops overs or not...its quite an easy hand to play, just assume your beaten PF and goto the felt with a set only...
