Default AJs UI vs LAG

villain: 65/30/2 -about 40 hands (has slowplayed flopped trips in past)

My GF played this hand I thought maybe she could try semi-bluff on the turn, against this dude waddya think?

I also thought she should prolly have a look at SD if UI (if we decide to just call turn) any thoughts?

call, and call. Raise if you spike a pair. Raise/cap if you hit your flush.

Against this player, raising the turn will NEVER get them to fold a better hand. It may shut them down if they are bluffing. They might 3-bet bluff.

I think raising the flop is better. You had the initiative pre-flop and it's best to keep it if you can.

The problem with the turn raise is that you are going to have to call the 3-bet.

This is completely wrong. If instead you decided that you copletely hated having the initiative vs. LAGS you would be closer to correct.

Their problem is that they bet too much so let them keep betting.

Im not bold enough to raise/call a pair every time but it's probably correct.

His aggression is 2. That means he knows how to find the fold button sometimes. So give him a chance.

His VPIP is 65. This is MUCH different than a TAG having an AF of 2. I'm with calling and raising if we hit, wtc.

Actually, if he folds a lot, his aggression number would be higher. AF=(# times bet + # times raise)/(# times call)

AF of 2 means he bets and raises twice as often as he calls. If instead of calling, he folded more, his AF would be higher.

I c/c/c unless I improve.

Hot.

Also I call this guy not a LAG but a nice maniac. You really need to have a strong read to fold A high against such a guy on a paired board. He is never donking trips here.
