Can you actually give a concrete definition of hustle?

[/ QUOTE ]

50k hands / month

[/ QUOTE ]
not at all imo

[/ QUOTE ]

Just read the OP. Scratch 50k. 100 hours/mo, mainly playing/studying, also bonus hunting.

This definition looks good to me. Its not enough to just study the game all the time, think about the game all the time, table select well all the time, you have to play the hands. Those who can play 30K+ hands in a month without going insane are the ones who are most likely to get rich in my eyes, assuming they are proficient in all other pertinent areas.

It is September 22, and I am at 5,000 hands played. That is the definition of zero hustle. The worst part is, I have no job, I have no girlfriend, I have no life. So I have no excuse for this abysmal output. Im just lazy.

This is just simply impossible. There are far to many MCC trips and naked girls online to attain such a lofty per month hand goal.

Uh, michigan beat ND last week. They are 3-0. They will soon be 13-0. Also, you get owned on a daily basis by my KTo vs. your 77, all of which enrich your non-life.

The other two are true though.

I dont know the exact definition of hustle, shock, but your initial idea looked fine to me. In the beginning im sure most of the hustle will be in studying the game, but after a certain point, hands played will be the most critical factor to hustle IMO. Dont get me wrong, no one should ever stop studying this game, but once you reach a certain proficiency level its time to table select well and grind away. Im great at studying the game, im not a good grinder.

No one has mentioned tilt control. Of course leaving your emotions out of your game is important in all poker games, but it's extremely important in SH play because you see more hands in a shorter amount of time and are faced with many more marginal decisions.

I have a pretty big problem with tilt and it is absolutely the biggest reason that I'm a pretty much breakeven SH player.

Well, that and I suck at hand reading. And table selection. And I call down way too much. And I try to bluff calling stations incessantly...
