What do you guys think of Lehman as captain btw?
My view is that the captain's role is greater than usually credited. Europe have had the benefit of some fantastic captains since 1983. In 1999 we maybe should have won, but didn't, and I didn't think Mark James made the best of the resources available. To my eyes so far, Lehman is a massive improvement on the disaterous Hal Sutton. I have my reservations about Woosnam, but we shall see. |

Crenshaw was terrible and Kite just got run over by Seve. Of i left off good ol Lanny Wadtkins in 95. His captains picks were a joke. Make that eleven years. |

PTI recently each gave the US around 30% to win the cup back [/ QUOTE ] good thing those guys aren't sports bettors. I doubt it's more than 55/45 to the Euros...these guys are way too close in ability. to put in football terms, a team that has a 30% chance to win is like a touchdown (huge) underdog |

To say that anyone but Tiger Woods is the best match play golfer in the world is nonsensical.
Especially if you consider "his record in the format over the years". |

I think Tiger would rather they missed out the first hole. Hooked his tee shot into the lake in the morning, then in the afternoon has to play left handed from behind a tree and moves the ball about five yards.

Harrington needs to start holing some putts, but his game looked ok otherwise this morning. Donald and Garcia are a great partnership. And I'm looking forward to seeing Howell and Stenson, Toms and Cink will be a tough partnership though. |
