Re: Coldcalls in MP
[ QUOTE ]
What's the rationale for coldcalling? [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] it always makes me itchy because I have a hard time putting them on a hand since they have anything from 78s to KJs to A9s. [/ QUOTE ] Good answer! |

Re: Coldcalls in MP
[ QUOTE ]
I think the fact that he coldcalled is what most likely COST him the pot to begin with, so in my opinion it was a huge mistake on his part. [/ QUOTE ] It can't be THAT big of a mistake! Let's not be results orientated. So he lost this particular pot. The guy is capable of playing extremely well post-flop. This makes up for a lot. He can also win some pots he shouldn't, or make extra bets at times too. I agree he gives up some EV by not 3-betting. But a good player can use this to his advantage both in current and future hands. |

It doesn't matter what he does because he makes up for it elsewhere. Um, how about for those of us who are NOT like neverwin? |

Re: Coldcalls in MP
I think ATo KQo and ATo are easy autofolds vs UTG raises.
