Trip Report: Fallsview Chaos Day 3 LONG W/PICS

Took me friggin forever to get around to posting this - mostly (completely) because I am very, very lazy. Hope you enjoy:

DAY 3

We wake up after about 4 hours of sleep at 10:30 (checkout is at 11) and I go downstairs while the other guys pack up to check out bus schedules. The concierge was incredible (would have 2 phones to his ears at all times) and told me the only greyhound to buffalo left at midnight. F that so I dig up the schedule I used to go from buffalo to Niagara (the ghetto regional bus) and find out there’s a 7:40am bus. Leon and I decide to go for that even though it means staying up all night. Ian Kenta and Jake all leave to go back to Toronto because they are friggin noobs. What a mistake that was.

Leon and I sit at a 5/5 table at noon on Saturday that is beyond description. Three asian guys sitting next to each other at one end of the table are just nuts and play every hand. One of them was absolutely hilarious – he was probably 75 or 80 with thin white hair and big ass bug-eyes. Whenever he would bet or raise it looked like he wanted to murder you, and it would always be an angry slam of chips on the felt. I’ll let Leon post some of the hands with him – I was very happy to see Leon bust him very quickly though.

“The hand went something like this. Mr. Miyagi limps in from EP and I raise with KJ suited in late position. I believe it was heads up to a flop of JJT (yes, I’m a luckbox). He checks, I cbet pot, he calls. Turn is a 9, he checks I bet ~pot and he very quickly and angrily slams all of his chips into the middle. I question whether or not to call but decide to given my image at the time/his lagtastic play. Sure enough he flips T9o. 3 PAIR NO GOOD NOOOB. I honestly think he didn’t fully understand the rules of the game and figured his hand to be very strong.”

At around 5pm we decide to play a little bit longer and get some food, but then a loud obnoxious fat asian-mexican lady sits down. Leon and I look at each other and know immediately she is going to be a huge fish. I pick up aces and raise in the sb after she limps. She angrily calls and flop comes down 662. I cbet and she instantly shouts “AHHH IM ALL IN” and shoves her chips in wsop-style. I instantly call (I think it was about $200 more into a $50 pot) and she seriously looks like she is going to cry. Turn and river come 99, and I wait for her to show.

Some people disagree with this, but I ALWAYS make people show after I call them. No way am I going to flip my cards up before they do – even if it humiliates them I want to see what they had. Plus, it can put them on megatilt. She says “WHAT U GOT” and I reply “I called you, you show first,” She gets very upset and screams “FINE I GOT NOTHIN” and flips up JTo. I show my aces and rake in the pot. She shoots me evil glances for the next half hour – this was just the beginning though.

Probably around 8pm I pick up 75dd and raise in the CO, stupid terrible asian player and dumb collagen-lipped asian-mexican lady (hereafter, DCLAML) call in the blinds. Flop comes down Q73 with 2 diamonds. First guy bets out $75 into a $80 pot, DCLAML calls (her range here is basically any pair, ace high, or any lone diamond) and I make it $300 (I have $200 left), asian dude folds and DCLAML looks like she wants to cry again and finally calls after much deliberation. Turn comes a blank, she checks and I make a somewhat questionable allin bet and she thinks a while and calls. River’s another blank, I show my pair of 7’s and she screams “AHAHAHAHA SHEET I GOT PAIR OF QUEENS” and slams Q9o on the table. Nice hand.

I hit a couple hands after that and run my stack up to about $1k. The pretty cool young guy with lots of tattoos next to me mumbles ‘man I just need a hand at this table’, and sure enough I pick up aces in MP. I am delighted to see DCLAML raise to 25 utg (this means $$$$ for me), folded to me and I make it $100. She then makes it $200, and I start counting out another 400 or so when she yells “COME ON YOU WANNA DO THIS? HOW MUCH YOU GOT LETS GO” and I say I have a thousand and push it all in, she insta calls and I flip up aces, she flips up kings. Flop KQT and I don’t improve. Sigh. I rebuy again (each time I rebought I actually bought in for 700-800 but the dealer didn’t notice).

A little later I pick up queens and get heads up with DCLAML again (by this time she had deduced that if I was in the hand, she could not miss, so she literally played every hand I played). Flop comes Q52 with 1 diamond. FINALLY TIME TO DOUBLE UP WOOOHOOO. She checks I bet pot and almost cry with joy when she says “HOW MUCH YOU GOT LEFT HUH?” I tell her about 600 and then she just calls L Turn comes a blank diamond and she checks. I bet half pot, with the intention of inducing a check raise allin, and as a backup the pot will be big enough that I can shove the river. Unfortunatly she just calls. River’s the 3rd diamond, she checks I push for 300 and she calls with Q9dd to stack me yet again.

Leon stacks the pretty cool guy to my left for another massive pot (~2400) with TT v 22 on a T62 two spades board. “There were a few very loose limpers before me and I raised with TT in late position. Cool guy calls in the small blind as do the rest of them. I almost felt bad for the cool guy when he bet out on the flop cause his range consists of a set (most likely) or potentially a flush draw, or maybe an unlikely two pair. I’m getting my stack in versus a lower set no matter how I play but I have to protect my hand against a draw since we are both deep. I raise his bet and he minreraises me. I almost want to tell him that he’s beat as I put the remainder of my chips in. He doesn’t catch his one outer and I feel slightly bad for stacking the cool guy at the table as opposed to DCLAML or one of the many other n00bs, but I’m still happy to rake in another $2400 pot.”

A couple noteworthy things at and around the table: At one point two extremely hot but obvious hookers did a little walking-trip around the poker room obviously indirectly advertising themselves. It was amusing – everyone in the room was just staring at them. Also, it was fun to look at the girls on the side of the poker room and try to judge which of them were hookers and which were girlfriends of moron boyfriends who were playing poker. I mean seriously, why have your girlfriend wait at the entrance of the poker room for like 5 hours while you play? Wtf?

Anyways one girl who was somewhat conservatively dressed shot me glances a lot. I was having trouble deciding whether or not she was a hooker or just a naughty girlfriend who liked to eye-[censored] strangers. She’ll come up again later.

At the table next to me was the most absolutely beautiful asian girl I have ever seen. I usually am not into many asian girls, but this one was incredible. Just one of those well dressed, perfect featured girls – not in a porn star way. Anyways, I prided myself on catching her eye a few times, she was obviously out of my league though (and oh yeah, I also have a girlfriend oops).

At Leon+My table there was an absolutely adorable asian girl (“Noah – you are so gay”) - dude she was so cute - who looked 18 or 19. She clearly had no idea what she was doing, here’s one funny hand:

EVERYONE limps to the CO who raises and she calls, as do 5 or 6 of the limpers. She had gone for 20 or 30 minutes without playing a hand so I was interested in what she had. Family pot, Flop comes Jxx and everyone including the pfr checks to her, she bets a whopping $10 into the $150 pot and 4 or 5 people see a blank turn. Everyone checks to her again and she bets another $10, pfr now check raises allin and she calls with JJ for top set and beats his KK. LOL well played on both parts. I cheer her on as she rakes the pot. I wind up chatting with her later on when we’re cashing out and she turns out to be pretty cool.

Anyways, I get stacked a few more times (KK v AA allin pre, AKdd vs Q9dd on a Qxx 2 diamond flop). Leon meanwhile has played some CRAZY ass hands (I’ll let him describe) and has run his 500 into about 3k.

“This one was good: A noob raises from EP to $20, DCLAML coldcalls, I call with A6dd (DCLAML and I are both about 2k deep at this point). 3 to a flop of 763 one diamond. strangely they both check to me and I make a questionable bet. DCLAML calls. Turn is a 5 of diamonds, DCLAML donks for half pot and I call. River is the 3rd diamond and DCLAML instantly throws 3 100 dollar bills into the pot. MONEY. I “think” for a moment, then count out 12 100 dollar bills and throw them into the pot. Of course she then puts on her crying face, as if she expects people to feel sorry for her. At this point the whole table is going apeshit, and since everyone there is retarded, they all assume that I’m bluffing for no reason whatsoever (I’m fine with it because they’re trying to convince her to call), except for Noah of course. After much deliberation she folds angrily. K7 no good DCLAML.

Leon and I pick up and cash out after our 16 hour straight session. I dropped about 6 or 7 buyins at that game, fun. Meanwhile Leon (luckbox) was up 5 or 6. We hit up the diner, and as we’re waiting for a table the sideline girl who I had exchanged glances with came walking in right behind us (creepy stalker). By this time I am fairly convinced she’s a hooker and is going to ask me something ridiculous like ‘hey you look tense want to come up to my room and relax?’ or something stupid like that. I am preparing some kind of gentle turn-down as opposed to a mean refusal because hey, a girl’s gotta make a living. She doesn’t say anything though, and I start to get confused. Leon and I get a table and then she follows us AGAIN wtf and she stands at the bar about 6 feet away from our table. I just ignore her and chat with Leon about the session. About 20 minutes later the bartender goes up to the girl and says ‘here’s your food sorry it took so long’ and she takes a plastic bag full of food from him and leaves. LOL I am such a retard.

Leon and I manage to sneak into the locker room and we each shower shave and change. We catch a cab to go the bus station (we are friggin tired as [censored] by this time). We browse the magazine selection at a nearby grocery store while we wait for the bus. It was kind of funny/sad when a dude came up and asked us if we could spare 50 cents for the bus, and we didn’t have any change on us, despite having about $12k in cash on us at the time.

We were ungodly tired after our marathon session.

On the bus I keep on falling asleep and slamming my head into a metal bar and repeatedly check if my head is bleeding because it sure feels like it (“noob”). It wasn’t though… We catch a flight home, and my mom picks us up with my dog in the car and we go home and sleep.

I ended the trip down $3.5k from poker (not too bad considering I got stacked twice at the $1k tables), $400 from flipping, and about $300 on food/hotel etc.
