Jason Elam is 10 years younger than Morten Andersen.

Glad to see he's back. I just realized Jason Elam is still around too for the Bronco's. I think kickers could hang around pretty much forever. I doubt they lose that much leg strength and what they do lose they can compensate for with accuracy.

its the mental aspect that gets em. but, if you mad good like mort, it dont matter.

That Falcons-Vikings playoff game Moss's rookie year where Morten won it may be the greatest (non-Patriots) football game I have ever seen.

[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, that game was superb but it seems to have been forgotten for some reason (except by bitter Vikings fans obv). Two teams with a combined THREE regular-season losses, great atmosphere, two legendary kickers (Gary Anderson being the other), one epic miss - Anderson's only one of the year - a clutch drive by ATL to tie it, a critical bat down (by Ray Crockett I believe) on a deep route that would have won the game for the Vikings, and then Andersen's winner in OT.

When I think of "great" football games that one always ends up in my top three.

Pudge,

Heh sorry, nothing personal mang. I wasn't rooting for one team or the other, just a good contest. What was remarkable to me is how Atlanta walked a tightrope the entire game - the Vikings were constantly one play away from putting them down but couldn't close the deal. It was spectacular to watch if you were emotionally detached as I was...
