This summer I worked 35 hours a week for $7.50 yet still managed to increase my BR tenfold playing sngs/cash...imagine what I could've done with those extra 35 hours a week to just grind. I'd be playing at least NL400 right now rather than NL100...my roommate was in the same situation as me BR-wise at the start of the summer and he made like 12k over the summer without getting a real job. I made about 4k from $300 at the start of the summer grinding $6.50 sngs and NL25 and moving up as my BR allowed (oh yea won some donkaments for about 1/3 of that money). [/ QUOTE ] Hmm, what? Why'd you take the job at all? Reasonably competent bacterial forms can make more than $7.50 an hour playing poker, even at 25NL.

Living with my parents, who disapprove of me playing online poker. It blew ass.
I've basically been paying for my own college (junior at UMD now), so yeah, there's another example of why coming from non-rich parents has hindered my poker development.

If I cared that much I would drop out of college and play more, or have cut back on my hours at work this summer. Thing is, when I run out of money for school I'm going to need my parents so I can't just burn that bridge a la "[censored] you im going to be the next wpt star"

still work a crappy job making under $13/hour. However, This month i have been making $35/hour playing poker part time. One day i'll be baller and have an hour where i make $500...
