It's ok IC5, grinding $1 bets and being patient is not for everyone. My guess is that you have a decent size roll and this 200 really doesnt affect you very much. Someone with a $300 bankroll would have a lot easier time grinding it out.
It also helps if you enjoy playing blackjack.

Just remember the EV doesn't change with higher bet sizes, only your variance. So you really didn't do anything wrong, unless you were trying to play this casino as risk free as possible. I know plenty of people who if given the oppurtunity to replay a signup bonus with their current bankroll would play them much differently then when they played it the first time (with their small roll). I know I would.

It sounds like you would enjoy Sticky bonuses, which you have to make big bet sizes in order to profit from them. Much higher risk, much higher reward, much more exciting then grinding.

That was the problem...
I did this a couple eyars ago with a $200 roll and did $1 bets no problem for my $100 bonus or whatever. Now with a $10K roll, just not the same, even though $200 should be $200. [img]/images/graemlins/crazy.gif[/img]

I started my gf on bonus whoring about 2 1/2 weeks ago. She started out with a $250 BR.

I told her to bet $1 a hand. About half way through her first casino, she was like "wait, if I bet $2 per hand, will this clear twice as fast?" I told her it would but to be careful because variance will increase as well, blah blah blah.

So next thing I know she's betting $5 a hand. Then she was doing Golden Palace and hated how slow the software was, so bumped it up to $25. Then last night I get a text message from her going - "I love Pontoon, I just made $120 on one hand!"

I guess $1 a hand isn't for everybody.

I also just tried playing blackjack and bonus whoring(1st time ever casino bonus whoring).I flat bet $1 and played exactly like the strategy card on CBW and I wound up retaining $54 of the bonus.I would have been up a few more $ if not for 2 misclicks and playing a little longer than needed to clear the bonus.Took me 3-4 hours playing 1 hand at a time and having to look at the strategy card a lot(hadn't played BJ in years).
As to the matter that you felt the $200 didn't mean as much to you now that your bankroll is larger - I find that quite interesting but I suppose that discussion would be better suited in the Psychology Forum.
