Changing text colours

I use a skin for Party that I downloaded from pokermods.com. I believe it is the one labeled "plaingreen". Basically it is just the green table, with a pure black background.

My problem comes into play when I try to play sit'n'gos. I can't really read the info that is printed in the bottom left, i.e. the level, blinds, and time remaining at the level. Also the disconnect protection is hard to read in ring games (not that I care that much about this).

The problem is because the background is black, and the text that these displays are written is nearly the same shade of black.

So my question is: Is there any way to change the colour of this text? I'd rather change the text (if possible), than change the background colour, because I really like this setup. So does anyone know if there is a relatively simple way to do this?

You have photoshop ? Just add a subtle shade of grey/darkness over the area ...
