Default Question for Meditation Practitioners

Recently during meditation I have begun to experience ringing in my ears. This is the only time that this occurs.

The ringing also has a wavelike quality that corresponds with my pulse.

If there are any OOT'ers who meditate, have you experienced this or something oddly similar?

Had this happen before. It's possible that it's just tonitus that you can hear since you've totally quieted out everything from your world.

Also had my leg fall asleep after literally 20 seconds of meditation and then felt like i wouldn't be able to move it again.

Sometimes I have this kind of 3rd eye feeling in my brain, It's a hard feeling to communicate but like, hmm.. You'll sit there meditating and sometimes the blackness has different characteristics, like sometimes I feel like i've just been surrounded by darkness, like I can feel it behind me somehow, I'm centered somehow.

I haven't meditated for a while though. When I was it was about 30 minutes a day. Or I'd hop on an aeroplane and see if I could meditate until I arrived at my destination.

Tinnitus sucks. It seems like it's just a nuisance, but in fact people have committed suicide because of it. William Shatner wanted to.

Not to scare OP or anything...

Concentrate on the ringing, will it to intensify with each heartbeat until it becomes a wave-like vibration through your entire body. This sensation is extremely terrifying at first, and makes it very hard to maintain focus.

You should lie down if you intend to explore this state further.

If you find this distracting you can add some non-distracting white noise like a fan or a sleep noise generator thingy. I have tinnitus too and need a little ambient/room noise to drown it out to sleep or meditate.

I don't find the ringing distracting or annoying. It just seems unusual. I find myself focusing on the ringing or my breathing whenever thoughts are not wandering through.

As I originally stated I never hear this ringing at any other time. Even when I am in a quiet place.
