If you came from 2600's, those were huge improvements.

Yeah, those two games were tacky. That's the point. But in '85 (yeah, we had one of the '85 consoles that probably still works today)

I was going to mention UW, but it's a SNES game and still pretty playable today.

Oh. Double Dribble

Ducktales is indeed great, but yea it probably doesn't belong in all-time MUST plays.

I'd compare games like Bionic Commando to something like "A Fistful of Dollars" or "For a Few Dollars More". Excellent, but would not make the canon along with "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly".

Does Ghosts 'n Goblins belong?

Semi Hijack but does anyone remember that game 'Deja Vu'? That game used to scare the [censored] out of me when I was little. That migh tbe the hardest game ever as without a walkthru there is no possible way you would know what you had to do.

I was doing a little research to rekindle the memory. This page of "Most Popular NES Games" on Gamespot pretty much covers them I think. Work through the list and you have the essence of what NES was and where video games have evolved from.

Eh, I don't like these as anything over honorable mentions, to be honest. Double Dragon is pushing it, but Ninja Gaiden definitely isn't.
