Trip Report: Tool concert
Oh man. Concert was in Minneapolis on Saturday night. Not much to say, other than each song was played well. Our tickets were for the very last row, in the back of the upper level... but we managed to get seats in the middle on the lower level by the time Tool started.
Setlist: Stinkfist The Pot Forty Six & 2 Jambi Schism Lost Keys Rosetta Stoned Wings For Marie 10,000 Days ::Break:: Lateralus Vicarious Ænema |

Re: Trip Report: Tool concert
Interesting they played WFM and 10kd- like to know how they came off live
The post break section must have been insane Im seeing them twice in November when they are over in the UK- would be nice to see a bit more older stuff though. |

Re: Trip Report: Tool concert
I've seen tool about 6 times, everytime they come to town, also travelled a couple of times, but I don't think I'm going this time. I'm honestly not thrilled with the new album, the only song I really enjoy on it so far is 'The Pot', maybe I'm getting too old? anyways, you say there is 'not much to say', does that mean it was awesome as expected or just pretty average?

Re: Trip Report: Tool concert
Im pissed they played WFM and 10,000 days, I really want to hear those live. I saw them in the small venue tour they did and they didnt play these songs, and I heard they wouldnt play them live.
I didnt go to the concert when it came through this time because all I could get was lawn seats, and everytime ive seen Tool ive been like 10 feet away, i didnt think I could handle them looking like little ants on stage. Then I heard they played WFM and 10,000 days, and i wished I would have bought a ticket...doh! They are coming through Phoenix again later tho, so I get another chance. |

Re: Trip Report: Tool concert
I really like the new album, well Vicarous and Jambi are probably right up there in best ever tool tracks- The vocals are possibly the best ever- They have really nailed the Maynard multiple harmonies- Im not sure why everybody is so into The Pot, a lot of people say its there favourite track, to me it just seems pretty standard, sorta in the vein of Sober (however saying that there is a fantastic vocal section about 3/4 way through The Pot)- Its probably me though being too 'Prog Minded'
