Default Student thinking of moving to vegas to finish college

I posted about this before and got alot of good responses about what to do, and that is why i am back to ask the help of 2plus2. For those of you that live in Vegas I was wondering what the closest casino with the best poker and the limits they have, is the closest to the UNLV campus, or the transportation that i would need to get to where i need to go and maybe the cost, i am trying to figure out how much of a bankrole that i need and trying to get the best comps that i can get considering that i am a college student that is trying to hook up with girls, party, and play poker, hopefully someon elese out there has and answer to the question that i have.
thank you to everyone in advance for helping me gain all the knowledge that i need in my journy to the promise lane.

UNLV is just two miles from the Strip. You should be able to walk. If you don't like walking, there is a bus on Flamingo road which will take you to the Strip. I think it costs $1.

Comps are going to be about 1 buck an hour on average. You shoulnd't be expecting or even hoping for anymore than that. All the poker rooms (low limt) have the same games and the games are of the same quality in every room. I mean, how much different can a 3/6 be from one place to the next when its 90% tourists having a good time?

Budget yourself about 700/mo for an ok 1br apartment. There are 1's that go as high as 1k/mo that I know of. The closer to the strip you live, the less appealing it will be to live.

www.craiglists.org I think is the site. and www.apartmentguide.com (used that for years now)

Perhaps if you concentrated on your education more than the booze and drugs and recreation, you'd know how to spell "roll". I think that's all the poster above was laughing at.

This was funnier than the original "bankrole"

1. Learn to spell

2. Don't move your education just to play poker. You think you're on vacation or something? Vegas ain't going anywhere -- move there once you finish school. Some things are more important than playing 3/6 with tourists every night.

I agree with dozer. Finish school first, your poker career can wait a year or two.

grdeadhead, I just pmed you. I moving to Vegas in May to transfer to UNLV for their Casino Gaming Management program, I've got to know the area pretty well so i could probably help you out. Just be weary of what you see on craigslist and believe me all places are not the same, location is a major issue there and you don't want to get stuck in the wrong side of town if you know what i mean.
