Default Holy Trinity, another poll !

Think very, very carefully how you respond to this poll. People have died because they gave the wrong answer. Hundreds of thousands of people.

First in! Also, there was no abstain (or BASTARD!) option, so I was forced to flip a coin.

No option for Holy Distillery, either, this is a poor poll.

the holy spirit comes from man's over-dramatic imagination.

Default none of the above

Just as with Jesus and God the Father, the Holy Spirit has always existed. Jesus sent the Spirit to us, but it didn't come from either one.

What if the holy spirit is the interdividual rapport between the father and the son?

Ah, yes, the infamous filioque clause. Even though I'm a Christian and a strong supporter of the use of the Nicene Creed in worship, I'm not worked up either way about the economy of the Trinity when it comes from the Holy Spirit. A good argument could be made for the filioque. A good argument could be made against it.

My particular denomination (ECUSA) has decided to drop it. I'm not exactly sure why. It doesn't matter, as ECUSA is non-creedal in doctrine. Use of the Creeds in worship is more of an homage to our ancestors rather than a required statement of belief. Most of our modes of worship are this way--we do them because Christians of every generation have done them, not because we are trying to indoctrinate anyone in any specific understanding of theology.
