How to calculate ROI with Satellites involved?
Say I won a $22 Satellite into a $143 event. And at the final, cash $633. What is my ROI?
I see two ways of calcutating it: A) ROI = 633 / 22 = 2888 % (youpiee ) B) ROI = (633+143) / (22+143) = 766 / 165 = 464 % That is, either considering the string satellite-final as one tournament, or considering each separately. Sorry if it is a dumb question, but I see people conflicting about maximum MTT ROI's of 200% or 500%.. Or maybe it's like apples and pears and I should separate them completely. |

Re: How to calculate ROI with Satellites involved?
I track them as two seperate tournaments. One as a $22 entry with a $143 cash and the other as a $143 tournament with a $633 win. That seems to best reflect what happened.
If you played a $22 tourny and cashed for $143 (rather than winning an entry) then took that cash to enter a $143 entry and cashed for $633 how would you track it? Just because the first tourny is a satellite doesn't make it any different. Al |
