villian is 28/14/2.7 no hands play with him during the current session

i been playing laggy 26/21 and had a very large stack but villian had only been at table for 3-5 orbits. i bet the flop weak to under rep my hand. need thoughts on flop move cuz i feel a sick feeling in my stomach after looking at the way i played this

Bet the [censored] pot, I don't know why so many 1/2 players are scared to do this. If he raises after that I'd call and see what he does on the turn, folding to a real bet.

Agreed with T-god, if you bet weak, you better be prepared to play poker, and this requires knowing your opponent, and the reason to bet weak is to manipulate him into doing something you want him to do. When you made that bet did you say, "hmm I want him to raise me when I'm out of position". Given your post you didnt. How you played it I don't know the size of the river bet so I can't say whether fold or call is justified.

i've been working on my flop and turn play, let's say villian
open limps, i rr 12 then c-bet 3/4 pot instead of pot, this way villian "speculates". i've found this to be a great way to set people up for aq+ 10+ thoughts
