Happens as you get older.

Im 36 and the same thing started with me a year or two ago. I asked my doctor about it and he seemed pretty unconcerned about it. Put it off to getting older.

I don't know. It concerns me when my body changes like that.

You might want to get a blood test if you ever had sex with a girl (or guy, no assumptions, but you mentioned camping, i dunno) seriously though, because when you get HIV or aids, your cuts take significantly long to heal. But I doubt this is the case. Just giving you the heads up though of the possibility. Might as well so you can see if your blood type is the one where your cuts heal slower

I dont think this has anything to do with age. Im 21 and I've noticed this about myself as well. It actually prompted me to get a diabetes test (someone told me it was a symptom of diabetes and it runs in my family)

The test came back negative and the doctor told me that he didnt know why my normal cuts did not heal fully without leaving a scar for prolonged periods of time.

You can also try some Vitamin C supplementation. Lack of it makes cuts heal slower. Just stay away from the chewables -- too much sugar.

I wasn't sure whether to laugh or shake my head at the fact that you think I'm gay because I went camping. But, no I'm not gay nor do I have AIDS.

You need to see a doctor immediately.

I believe this is a symptom of Lukemia or something cancerous like that.
