BB has $88.
Hero has $200. Hero is dealt K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] on Btn. Folded to Hero who makes it $4, SB folds, BB calls. Flop is J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($8.5 pot). BB bets $4, Hero calls. Turn is 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($16.5 pot). BB bets $11, Hero calls. River is J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($38.5 pot). BB bets $21, Hero calls. I didn't have much of a read on BB, but I find myself in hands like, where my gut just tells me that he doesn't have anything, but I can't really beat any real hand. Am I right in calling hands like these? |

firstly is this 6 handed or what? I'll assume it is for now.
my first impression is that villan is bettin a draw or he flopped the straight/set. I don't think TP and then trips is as likely but still possible. The problem is you done nothing to find out where you was at and narrow done his range. I'm afraid you are a calling station. you have 2 options: 1. Fold on flop 2. Raise flop to $12 If villan 3bets its an obvious fold. If villan calls he will check turn to you most of time and you will check behind with your weak hand despite the possibility he is drawing and then make a decision on river if he bets which he prob won't with a weaker hand than yours. If he leads turn then again without a specific read its a fold. |

Yes, with no reads, this sucks. Raise or fold the flop. Turn is a marginal call, but you do get some outs so I don't mind that as much. You only beat a bluffed T on the river. This is spewing.
