[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] You seem to want to pass responsibility for what happened to anyone but yourself. [/ QUOTE ] Oh no, not at any point have I tried to pass the responsibility. I realize what I did and know it was a mistake. I just don't think it warranted a termination. I always tell myself not to ask for advice on internet forums but for some reason I do it anyway. Its so easy to just insult someone even if it makes no sense LOL. [/ QUOTE ] You do realize that casinos are fairly protective of their $$$ right? For all they know, you could have been working as a distraction for somebody robbing the place. 2 questions: Did you have on a Santa costume? Does your casino have a pow-wow safe? [/ QUOTE ] I'm busted. |

FWIW, I think making a big stink and potentially getting your former boss, who genuinely tried to help you, in trouble, is a very bad thing to do.

[ QUOTE ] If I would have driven home, gotten in a major accident and possibly killed someone, that would have been way worse for the casino in terms of liability and publicity. [/ QUOTE ]WTF? You act like you're the victim here and had no options. You COULD have just called a cab right away. [/ QUOTE ] |

[ QUOTE ]
I got drunk, and passed out at the bar, and this is how I'm thanked. [/ QUOTE ] Let us know how your next employer feels about their employees getting drunk and passing out on the premises. Especially the ones who are charged with the responsibility of trying to determine when a patron has had too much to drink. |

Sorry man, you shouldn't be getting drunk where you work. Don't piss where you eat or some such saying.
Consider it a valuable life lesson and move on, best of luck in future endeavours. |

Drinking where you work is definitely not cool; you should have better judgment than that when you're sober. If I were your boss, I'd probably fire you just based on that.
I think you're just going to have to start looking for another job. What you did is unprofessional, and casinos don't want employees who think its a local bar. Not trying to be harsh because I know people make mistakes, but in this case you just have to face the consequences. |

There is nothing you can do. Take it as a lesson learned and in the future don't get drunk where you work.
