How is the casino responsible for getting your drunk ass home? It sounds like you could've taken a ride home, if you weren't eating and chatting in the restaurant, and/or sleeping.

They aren't. Why do you ask? I never insinuated that they were. And I was in the resturaunt while I was WAITING for a ride and I told those people who volunteered where I would be. I can see you just want to insult someone on the internet instead of giving any advice or opinion, but thanks anyway.

this sux man, but if u take a sec back to look at it, i think u did do something clearly against policy and you should be disciplined for it. Maybe firing you was harsh, but that's a judgment call and I don't see anyway you can get your job back. Sux man, but try to move on.

You seem to want to pass responsibility for what happened to anyone but yourself. I hate this particular personality trait and I'd probably have fired you too. You showed very poor judgement by getting drunk at work to the point where you couldn't do the right thing even after 90 minutes of eating and talking, and presumably not still drinking. Unless you had a specific offer of a ride home by a particular person at a particular time, you should have just taken the ride offered to you.

Oh no, not at any point have I tried to pass the responsibility. I realize what I did and know it was a mistake. I just don't think it warranted a termination.

I always tell myself not to ask for advice on internet forums but for some reason I do it anyway. Its so easy to just insult someone even if it makes no sense LOL.

You do realize that casinos are fairly protective of their $$$ right?

For all they know, you could have been working as a distraction for somebody robbing the place.

2 questions:

Did you have on a Santa costume?

Does your casino have a pow-wow safe?
