24+2, full tilt: short stacked w/ KQs
OK so we're a little over an hour into this tournament and i'm pretty short. i'm in the sb w/ t1215. utg mp and cutoff all limp with stacks between t2500 and t3100. blinds are 80/160.
I have K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Is this a pretty easy push? Any use in seeing a cheap flop? Thanks. |

Re: 24+2, full tilt: short stacked w/ KQs
Your M is just above 5, so you are in push-or-fold mode (unless you pick up a BIG hand like AA and KK and want to raise just 1/2 your stack to try to get some action).
I like a push here - you are probably going to pick up the pot, which will increase your stack by 40%. If you do get a caller you are most likely up against a small pair or Ax - hands that have you dominated, AA / KK / AK / AQ, are not very likely as they would have raised). It basically boils down to your table reads and whether you want to gamble in this spot. With your stack you are going to have to push at some point in the next couple of rounds and pushing with an M of 5 is much better than an M of 2-3, which is going to get called by several players. |
