Default feel cheated at hollywood poker

sat down to play heads up 50/100 limit holdem vs pepperoni222 this afternoon. i was already in some other games, so i didn't notice what was going on at first. my opponent was sitting out/in every hand to keep the button. this happened exactly 15 straight times before i caught on. he did it so fast it was hard to notice what was really going on. he was obv an old hand at this procedure, and i'm sure he duped plenty of other players in this same fashion. when i finally noticed what was up, i sat out and politely asked him if he would stop cheating now. no word. i sat back in and he tried it again, but i had turned my auto post blind off. when he realised i wouldn't play his little game anymore he sat out permanently.

first of all i can't believe any poker site's software would allow anyone to be able to do this. i enjoy playing at hollywood poker, i think their support is awesome and the game play is smooth and speedy. but this left a bad taste in my mouth. i emailed their support, let them know what happened and supplied hh's.

i hope they take some sort of action against this player. a guy like irishcurve getting banned over some weird stuff that they don't even try to prove, hopefully this guy will get his due. very unprofessional to say the least. i believe hollywood should reimburse me for my losses by taking it out of his account. the amount of money i lost isn't going to affect me much, it's the principality over the ordeal. having the dealer button every hand is not poker.

you guys might bash me because it's my first post, or say it's my fault for not paying enough attention. put yourself in my shoes. haven't you multitabled before? it's tough to pick up every little thing at the tables. especially when it's happening so fast, it honestly looked part of the regular deal.

i'm not sure if this is the right forum for this, this site has so many.

Is Hollywood an OnGame skin? Nothing surprises me about that network anymore. I doubt you'll get bashed, that's a pretty poor situation with their software. Let us know how the respond to your complaint.

Exactly the same happened to me at pokerroom (which claims to hold itself to such high standards). They've been 'investigating' for over a month now and haven't reimbursed me one cent, so I just cashed out and moved to another skin.

And before they pass the blame on to Ongame as skins always do, if I sign up at Pokerroom, and play at Pokerroom and get cheated, then Pokerroom should reimburse me. End of story.

Pokerroom: "Meet them and cheat them."

(If you get your money back from Hollywood, you should post an update as it will put them streets ahead of the rest of the Ongame skins, and they deserve credit.)

King Yao describes a similar event in his book. He doesn't name the site, only saying that it is associated with a sportsbook.

While this is obviously unethical, it may not be illegal according to the site's T&C. You need to read the rules, because customer service will probably not understand or not want to deal with it. As a general rule, poker sites do not have rules against anything like this if their software allows it.

i've played on a couple of ongame skins and to be completely honest hollywood has been leaps and bounds ahead of the rest on anything you'd look for in an online poker room. whether i get any kind of retribution on this is another story. i'll keep you posted. doesn't look promising based on the link provided to the other thread. argh.

Hollywood's fabulous software folded my pocket Kings after I raised 3xBB in EP. LP calls. Flop comes and before I could grab the mouse, my hand is immediately folded. I emailed support and they gave me a buyin to a tourney. They give away these buyins to all new players. BFD.

Hollywood sucks.
