I would not push here.
the BB is about 4 to 1 chip lead over you. if he has almost any ace he's ahead, not to mention good pairs.
you're not on the bubble anymore and you have enough chips to wait for a better hand. i'd like to have at least A9s if i'm pushing from the button here.
maybe raise and try and outplay them, but i don't like the all-in move as it shows you're too scared to play the hand and just want to end it.

WTF?? We need an icon that is banging his head against a brick wall.

Of course not 100%. If you're playing in a live game and the BB accidentally exposes an ace and doesn't know that you see it and you know he's calling any 2 it's a clear fold.

i didn't suggest the min raise thing was a good idea, just another option.
i'd not want to look at an all in re-raise either.

kickflip, just trust everyone, you are wrong about almost everything youve said. stick around and read the forums, buy sngpt, and youll figure out why.

Kickflip....with all due respect, this is very true. You are completely wrong and it's not even close. If you stick around and read the forums and continue posting, you will be glad you did because your game will get much better. Trust us.

that's part of the reason i'm here.

ok. give me a very clear reason why it's absolute that you have to push here though.

what makes it a +EV call every time?

During the hand he told me that this can be played another way by min raising to give him some more fold equity and pushing the flop rather than flipping.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think this can be valid, if BB is a regular that knows you. But, you wouldn't be able to do it often. I'll let u way with the odd min raise of my BB, but doing it very often is just asking to be pushed on.

If it's not a good idea then why would you do it? In the late stages of a SnG you should be playing almost perfectly.

This is an obvious push because most of the time you're just going to get 2 folds and pick up 675, about 1/4th of your stack. You are going to get called less than 25% of the time and the times you do get called you'll suck out about 30% of the time assuming you're behind.
