Re: $105+9. Do you absolutely have to push here on button?
Ad 4s vs. Qh 6h, the ace is only a 55% 44% fav.
do you really want to flip a coin to go out in third? first of all, i'm already in the money here, so losing my coin flip actually costs me quite a bit of real cash. i'd wait at least until my Ace was suited where my odds move up to about 60% or more. insta pushing with any ace is not always the best play. again, what are the reads on teh opponents. if i'm fairly certain that they're going to fold an all in then i'm pushing more likely, but if they will play any two cards then i'm not as sure anymore. i like to raise with a hand. also, raising it up when the better option is to push could make my move more deceptive, because they KNOW i'm pushing with an ace, but raising 3BB might look like i'm just trying to get money in the pot. if i know i'm pushing anyways, then yes, sometimes, i'll raise then push the rest in no matter what the flop. it's worked for me in the past. |

Re: $105+9. Do you absolutely have to push here on button?
the fact that hes playing any 2 increases our % of winning if called. If hes not calling any 2, our % no call is high enough to push. No matter what angle you approach this hand from , this is a push. I get the feeling that you are not thinking on the same level as the rest of us. I dont think there is a plausible calling range for the BB that makes this push -ev.
