Anyone who took Titans/Jets Under last week because of my horrible advice, I duly apologize - I had no idea Chad Pennington could score three times in a quarter.

Anyway.

It's amazing how many of the lines I hate this week - The problem is that a majority of the matchups are 0-1's vs. 1-0's, so there's a mental tension such that we don't want to imagine certain teams going 0-2 because it goes against our well-ingrained versions of expected future realities.

$400: 404 - Colts (-13)
It's a stupid line, but the Texans are mismanaged like crazy and it was a mistake to not take Philly last week, so it's time to overcompensate.

$300: 419/420-OVER - Rams/49ers (Over 44)
These teams have a habit of putting lots of points up vs. each other, Frank Gore is a beast about to run against a team that couldn't stop the Denver Bells, and the SF defense isn't stopping anyone anytime soon.

$200: 408 - Dolphins (-6.5)
I'm leaning against Takeo Spikes taking the field on Sunday and independently expecting Miami to bounce back strongly at home. I also have this weird tendency to assign Sklansky Dollars(tm) to teams no one is apparently picking, but it backfired for $300 last week, so here we are.

$100: 421 - Cardinals (+7)
I know that I shouldn't draw conclusions from one week, but giving 7 points to a team that won last week against a team that only scored 9 seems a bit off. I realize the ARI defense is mediocre and their OL is worse, but it just feels marginally inflated, so 1 unit seems appropriate.

I was torn between these and the Cowboys/Skins game. Anyway, I think that the Vikings have a great shot at knocking off the banged up Panthers including a questionable Foster. All of the sudden the Giants are 3 pt dogs to the Eagles who have a lousy running game and IMO questionable receivers? I know the Giants are on the road but I think the Giants are a better team and the spread indicates that the teams are even. The Patriots have a suspect core of receivers IMO but I realize the Jets are lacking a running game. I like getting 6 at home. The Jaguars beat the Steelers last year and are an underrated team it seems. They player terrific defense. The Steelers are lacking in the wide receiver department IMO.
