QQ flop sucks
Villans are both stations (like 35+/10/1.5-2). Hero is TAG. Do you lead this flop?
Full Tilt Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $1/$2 6 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $196 orange: $231.75 CO: $179.40 Button: $267.40 SB: $314.35 BB: $488.30 Pre-flop: (6 players) orange is UTG+1 with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] UTG calls, orange raises to $9, CO calls, Button folds, SB calls, 2 folds. Flop: J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($31, 3 players) SB checks, orange...? |

Re: QQ flop sucks
Against stations no. Against normal people, probably not.

Re: QQ flop sucks
I don't really see much reason to care about this pot. I'd probably let the flop check around, call a modest turn bet, and fold to a river bet.

I expect any T+ to call, but this time the range is weighted more heavily towards a Tx,Jx,Qx or Kx hand then an Ax hand then if you had bet the flop and got called, hence me betting the turn for value but not the flop. That made sense to me, don't know whether it does to anyone else. |

Re: QQ flop sucks
you will get called here by a good mix of hands that beat you (Ax, J10, KQ, K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]10[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], etc) and a good mix that you beat by either a ton (Jx, 10x, Kx) or not by much (draws).
in short, betting doesn't give you information on their range, it doesn't fold out many better hands and it bloats the pot with a marginal hand. we're torn between protecting and wanting to not pay off Ax. c/f |

Re: QQ flop sucks
I would definitely check with no clear intention of what to do without seeing what happens.
Having everything planned out for every possible situation at this point isn't really necessary or even productive. |

Re: QQ flop sucks
It seems like you're a fan of raising to 9 on most of your hands. In my opinion you oughta make it more if you got a table full of stations, hopefully isolate better.
