I'm trying to get rid of a bunch of crap on my computer these days that I'm not sure Norton is picking up on. I know there tons of adware/spyware blockers and removers, can anyone suggest one that is either free or reasonably priced?

Ad-Aware SE Personal and SpyBot. Both can be found free at Download.com.

I run Lavasoft AdAware and double check with Spybot on a periodic basis as one will often find things the other missed. I also run Protowall and BlockList Manager from Bluetack Software (port blocking program)and you would be surprised how many things are trying to access your machine that you never knew about.
Ewiedo is also very good, it solved a spyware problem for me on a friends machine that nothing else would fix. one more thing ... HijaackThis is your friend ![]() |

[ QUOTE ]
A Lot or Allot ? A lot (two words) is an informal phrase meaning "many." It can take an adjective, for example, "a sizeable lot." Example: Karl needed a lot of time for the job. Allot means "to distribute between or among." It has the same root as lottery. Example: He allotted three breaks a day to everyone in the department. Alot does not exist as a word. [/ QUOTE ] I agree that overall it cleans many things but not all. Overall though fyp's are frowned upon in CTH, especially when you goof them up . |
