QQ on AKx flop with 4 limp/callers... bet it?
Party Poker .50/$1. I'm in CO. 3 limpers to me with QQ. I raise to $5. BB and two limpers call. Flop is AKx with 2 diamonds. Checked to me. I have no reads as I've just sat down. Is there any reason NOT to bet at it?

Raise more preflop.
I don't bet here because no worse hand except the flush draw is calling. A lot of players that hit an A/K here will not bet it right away, but they'll call your bet. |

Pre-Flop --> Raise to 6
Flop --> Most likely someone has an ace or at least a king you are beat most of the time. I think you have to get away from the hand. Check-raising happens way to often in small stakes games, this smells like a check raise for sure. Id check behind. Some people will advice you to bet but there are 3 others in the hand im almost sure your beat. |

I don't I think you should bet out here. You alluded to it in your post - you have no reads. Too many people at the PP lower limits play weak aces or kings and have a hard time letting go of them. There's also the chance that you are up against a strong ace or king. If you do decide to fire out a barrel here and its a rainbow flop, I would suggest a smaller sized c-bet, so as to appear to be value betting. If you get called, you can be all but certain your opponent has an A or K,and you're drawing to two outs or a runner-runner straight. I'd check the turn here and fold to any bet. But really though, until you have a strong read I don't think its smart to bet the flop.

[/ QUOTE ] A smaller bet wouldn't look like a value bet--it would look exactly like what it is--a weak probe bet.
