Villain is one of you guys, we have been going back and forth in the chat and I've bluffed him off some big pots twice and told him about it. He may be sick of me but more likely he flopped a monster. Do I have enough of a monster to reraise the flop? Anyone like a flop call the first time around to disguise my hand and hope to hit a spade? Turn action?

Raise pre, flop is good but you only have 9 outs likely, and he has a redraw if he has a set and you flush on the turn. Too bad you're so deep because this is really one of those times you'd like to shove flop while your equity is still decent.
Fold turn. |

yeah raise pre
and I doubt your two pair outs are good so just fold the turn |

Anyone here just call the flop? Raising doesn't seem to do anything except get him to fold hands you are way ahead of and put more money in vs a better ace or two pair.
Edit- Tubasteve, how can shoving the flop be any good even if he had $200 instead of being deep? If he shoves the flop vs the guys 3 bet and gets called (which is likely) he is drawing to 9-12 outs very often. I'd raise preflop, call the flop (instead of raising), and as played fold the turn. |

i raise preflop
I'd just call the flop, I dont see what good raising is, you are likely behind. Your hand isnt that great you have 1 pair and a flushdraw dont get priced out. You also have position so you can collect bets from him if he bets into you on the turn when you improve. Also by raising you knockout other hands which may pay you off (weaker flush draws weak pairs, gutshots etc) If he has something like 43 then you are in real bad shape, you bloated the pot now you dont know if your 8 is good and you dont have odds to draw to the flush |

I would call the turn only if you are pretty sure you will stack him if you hit. Pushing the flop seems like overkill. Only 43 or a set would call that.

Ok, not too interesting I guess. I folded the turn, I think I should have just called the flop. Keeping in worse draws is a great reason I didn't even think about at the time.
