Questionable fold against my big stack and his bigger one
Party poker 6max 1/2$$
MP($124.75) Villian($734.00) Hero($507.00) SB($300.00) BB($276.00) MP folds, villian raises $10, Hero calls, SM and BB folds. Holding K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img];Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Flop: 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] villian bets pot ($23.00), I call. turn: 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Villian bets $30.00, I call again. I thought i should have folded here, but i felt confindent about my read on him being loose aggressive, 70% sure I had him high carded. River: 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Villian bets out $85 dollars, of course I raised to $170.00. he then pushes his remaining $591.00 I thought for about 15 seconds and i decided to fold. Final pot: 915.00 I know the stacks are huge!!!!, but they grow like that after 4 hours of play |

Re: Questionable fold against my big stack and his bigger one
$274 to call to Hero with $743 in the pot (around 2.7 to 1 odds).
I think this is pretty close. Besides thinking he is a LAG, did you have any other reads? Seen him play any big pots? Do you think he'd push here with a worse flush? |

Re: Questionable fold against my big stack and his bigger one
Really bad poker to reraise on the river. You're opening up the betting with deep stacks on a paired board because you want to earn $85 more, knowing he'll probably fold any hand you have beat and rerasing with a boat. Obvious fold, if villain isn't a complete donk.
Raise flop, check turn if he's still in the pot - and for god sake - don't raise the river. |
