Default Quick sportsbetting newbie question.

Ok i have never bet on sports before and I have no time to read a guide right now can somebody just tell me what this bet means ?

Run Line: San Francisco Giants
Noah Lowry -1.5

This means im betting for the giants to win by more than 1.5 runs correct (2 runs) ?

Thanks bud, still makes no sense to me why I win more for betting with the favorite though.

A team can be a favorite to win outright, but an underdog to win by more than 1 run.
