i like doing all the math involved. more accurately i like to estimate the math in my head and adjust my strategy accordingly. also, sng's are more action packed with all-ins and a clearly defined winner. eventually i think i can master them and would also like to master mtt's.

Reason's I play SNG's:

1. Usually my bankroll is limited. I never leave a large sum of $ in the account (when I hit $500, I cash out $400). I like the little bonus check I get in the mail every other month or so.

2. You can limit yourself to a short number of people during the time frame you play. In the on-line cash game world, you're lucky if the same guy sits at your full-ring game twice within the same hour.

3. I don't like playing above my bank roll. The .25/50 NL and the occasional 1/2 limit game I'll play once a month or so, and I'm NOT very good at cash games, especially multi-tabling.

4. SNG's offer a splash of good players and alot of bad players. I make money playing them. I won't quit my day job, but I like the action SNG's offer me.

Good Luck!

small stakes cash games are like level 3 of a SNG....forever. and level 3 is my least favorite level.

plus, i like how SNGs have a story arc.
