Default 1/2: AJo - OMG I\'m a donker

Ran kinda bad at 1/2 the past couple days and I'm going back through my hands, and I notice that ... I'm a donker. I do like donking.

Villain is a tag, but not THAT ag... 20/10/1.2 over about 50 hands.

Going back over this hand I should have let him keep betting, I think. Or was it too dangerous because I'm out of position?

Against this opponent I will usually c/c the turn
and look for a c/r on the river.

I think the way it was played was fine. If you check the turn, villain may check as well, and then you make 1BB max on the river. You may also get a curious A-high call on the river some of the time, netting you 2 BBs.

The other option is to c/r the turn. This can be risky the times he has JJ+, as you will be 3-bet. I think donking the turn may be best since it guarantees that no more than 2BB's will go in on the turn.

Possibly, but it's not nice to see it checked through and I don't actually think you loose anything in the long run by this play.

Grunch

3bet PF, and try to get it HU. The hand plays totally different from there on, but I'll likely bet all streets

the correct response to all of this is that check calling the turn and check raising the river is a disaster of massive proportions against a player like this. give him a range when he bets every street.

and ko, i dont get the flop call now that i took a second look.

I think you got whatever he was willing to put in with his hand. Donking the turn is good, so he cant take a free card with 2 overs or a possible FD.

I usually 3bet pf half the time depending on the original raiser and if other opponents are likely to fold.

Given how you played it. I don't like the flop peel at all against multiple players. Ever thought about c/r the flop vs villain? You stated that he wasn't that aggro, so a c/r can help define his hand better.

On the turn, I like it. Donking may keep a weaker hand (ie smaller pp) calling.
