Yep, C/R too strong HU vs a guy that just raised you.

Re: what to do best here?
I usually do the same thing and then wish I had waited until the river, but not in a blinds stealing situation. I want my opponent to think I'm an aggressive spaz so they don't bother calling next time I try to steal their blinds with a crappier hand.

Re: what to do best here?
Did you have any stats on this guy? Was he passive, loose, aggresive, weak? Either way, think about a three bet to get as much money out of him after the flop. If he has two over cards the BB would be priced in to call a bet after the turn. You could hope the BB keeps an agressive line. If not you could still possibly get two more bets out of him if he has a K, spade draw, or A high.

Re: what to do best here?
I just 3bet the flop, I might get called down lighter. Even fish know the turn check/raise = you are [censored].
Also, he probalby had air, so I wouldn't worry about it. |

Re: what to do best here?
The call flop c/r turn line is fine here. If villain has only a 7 you aren't going to get a lot of bets out of him anyway. If you knew he had something like j7 you could call and donk the river because he'll call wanting to get to sd. This nets you an extra big bet. But the times he has 46, 68, A7, or Kx, or even a lower 5 you'll be losing a lot of bets by not c/ring. SO I say the check-raise here is standard without any solid reads. If the guy is a maniac that'l slow down once you play back at him than just calling the turn would be fine.

Re: what to do best here?
Given villains stats.
bet/call flop, bet 3bet turn, bet river. This line works well against aggros because villain may take donk as weakness. However, a lot of people do that nowadays and that might actually cause him to just call. This line may be optimal...... bet 3 bet flop, bet turn, bet river, bet3betting the flop might give you more action than other lines. ---------------- Think the c/r on the turn is too strong. Bien |

Re: what to do best here?
I like to check/call the turn here and then lead out on the river.

Re: what to do best here?
I really love to 3-bet the flop here because many players feel you are pushing them around, especially on a board like this, trying to steal their blind. After 3-betting the flop there is, I think, a great chance he will call you down. Which is obviously better than him folding to a turn check/raise.
