new monitor... setup w/ laptop.. need recommendations

hey guys, i'm thinking about getting a new dell monitor (not sure which yet) to hook up to my laptop when i play. what kinds of accessories (cables, etc.) will i need to get it going? thanks

Your laptop needs to have a dvi output, at least I wouldn't want to run one of the bigger dell screens (2407) with a vga output.
