Let's not forget that these spats were taking place at a time when there was a lot of money in sight and at stake. If they had been occurring at the beginning of the event then I'd agree with you but down to the final 40 when each player is guaranteed a quarter mill I'm inclined to let them have more rope.

I like how our World Series Champion thinks he has "so many outs" (when in reality he calls all-in for a goddam miracle), but is lightning quick to let you know it wasn't the nuts.

I like how our World Series Champion thinks he has "so many outs" (when in reality he calls all-in for a goddam miracle), but is lightning quick to let you know it wasn't the nuts.

I was amused by that as well. I guess he doesn't realize that 10 outs on the River still makes him a huge dog in the hand. But, it may good for poker as I can see a bunch of people noobs going all in and saying, "well, I have a bunch of outs."

it was more like 2 eights, 3 sevens, 2 queens (i had one non club queen) = 7 outs, but hey who's counting!

you have to realize that the camera is NOT a casino camera, it is a TV camera, and not part of the tournament. I've filmed poker tournaments for TV before, and trust me - there's no way they could've looked at that hand easily. They would have to stop one camera being used for coverage, find a monitor to look at the tape (they ARE NOT going to use the monitors being used to direct the broadcast for this), rewind it, find the hand and decide who was wrong and who was right.

These broadcasts are shot like it's a live event, with the many cameras being cut on the fly into a "line cut" by a director sitting in front of a bank of monitors.

In other words, it ain't easy.

Plus, let's not forget that those cameras ARE NOT there for tournament disputes like normal casino cameras are, they are there for TV coverage. If they decided to go to the tape for the Lissandra-Friedman dispute and disrupt their coverage, they would have to do it for everyone in the tournament if it was called for, to be fair.

Not possible.

Has anyone suggested that Prahlad made a big deal over the ante just to tilt Lisandro, or maybe due to some prior history they had?

I've really never seen such a big deal made about one ante chip, especially when the person (Holmes) made responsible for it didn't complain or think anything was afoul.

Did I miss it, or has nobody mentioned Gold repeatedly calling for the nine that makes Doug a straight?

And the guy who wrote "Can we make plans right now to gang up on Molina next year at the WSOP and smash his face into oblivion?" must not be much of a fighter to think a gang is needed for this.

I might have missed that in the broadcast...maybe he was being ironic/reverse-jinxing himself/knew he had "lots of outs" but in the heat of the moment wasn't quite sure which they were?!?
