I'd call. How tight can someone be when the table has like 4-5bb each?

Fairly sure this is a fold, both have you covered.
I ran a range, 44+,A2s+,KTs+,QJs,A8o+,KJo+ for UTG 77+,ATs+,KQs,AJo+ for SB Probably too thin but your JJ is about 43% against these two ranges looks like KK is an easy call and QQ is borderline call. Of course you can widen the ranges, but I think UTG needs to be pushing 50% and SB calling with 25% make it profitable. Here are the sums, take them as you will. 43% of the time you have 12,906 chips, the other 57% you are out with 0. The times you win UTG will win the side pot, around 41% and the bubble will be burst around 59%. 57% EV 0.00% 17.6% EV 41.93% 25.4% EV 42.17% Total $EV18.09% of the pool. Which is less than 3rd place money, assuming the ranges are okay. EV of folding is 59% EV 27.57% 41% EV 20.64% Total $EV folding 24.73% of the pool. Calling cost you 6.64% of the pool which in this case is $6.64 in an $11 SNG. Thats huge. If you have both covered it becomes an easy call, if you have just UTG covered then a call is probably good too, maybe still good if you only have SB covered, but I doubt it. Fairly easy fold in my opinion, of course the blinds are big, but not enough to make this call a better option. Regards Mack |

With the Villians both covering you I think this is a fold also. Taking the chance of going bust or a +EV fold doesn't seem like a difficult choice to me, anything but a spilt pot between these two and you're happy.

[/ QUOTE ] Pretty much my thoughts you're gonna be 3rd after taking the SB if UTG wins the hand which should be less likely than the bubble ending right here. You basically need to be 50% against the two of them to breakeven here. Whether the stack is worth the ICM representation can be questioned, but the other guy has around 2100 (if he doesn't win) all of which will be required in the next 3 or 4 hands. Mack |
