cardo, I think the idea of being hated by many would cause you to temper your actions too much and not mete out justice in the manner that is needed. [/ QUOTE ] Diablo, my entire life is a study in loyalty to principles ahead of people. |

I would be an excellent mod because I really don't care about any of you. NT [/ QUOTE ] This is the sort of thing I'd want in a new mod. I probably don't have the experience with the forum necessary to be one, but I hate stupidity enough for the job. I'll support anyone who feels the same. |

Re: looking for a new mod
NT and Anacardo would be my choices.
I'd enjoy doing it, but I certainly don't think I have the whole "respected" part down, and I'd run it with a far more overzealous love of cruelty and banning than even [censored] does/did. Crappy relationship threads - at least one banning a week, likely done vote-style as [censored] once suggested. Same old drug threads? Banning. Generally annoying? Banned. Starting crappy threads? Banning. Two stars, not three, for a banning. Paddling the school canoe? You better believe that's a paddling. edit: sackup's platform is also rock solid. -bb. |

Re: looking for a new mod
I think that CMI and Bruiser would also be good mods. Bruiser would definitely be an adventure. EDIT: mmbt would also be great.
As a mod, I would be more stringent about really lame threads such as obviously fictional, idiotic girlfriend questions and threads that get done every week. I would also defend very good posters and their threads, all that other good [censored] that anyone competent would do. I don't have any earth-shakin proposals, I would just do what obviously needs to be done. You know how I roll. NT |

Re: looking for a new mod
Definitely Amplify. Shortly thereafter mmBTone, NT!, or Sackup.
The key criterion for the job should be that it is/will be someone who is a hard ass. Amplify isn't necessarily a hard ass but he gets a pass for being a cool cat. New mod should also ban all istewart accounts and should not be afraid to ban other worthless douchebags--regardless of whether they have a ton of posts or not. |

Re: looking for a new mod
[ QUOTE ]
My promises as a mod. 1. Bring back the [censored] in banning. 2. Remove not only horrid posters, but end worthless mods. 3. Do everything I can to make sure no good thread is ever locked or removed - and if it is to have it restored immediately. 4. Not stand for whiny, pouty, biatches - that is why we have 50 other sub forums. 5. Not let a single good OOT thread be moved from OOT just b/c there is some other bs subforum that nobody reads. 6. Get rid of any crap post that should be put where no one reads. 7. Bring OOT back to its roots with drugs, sex and rock & roll. 8. Report everything that goes down in the mod forum worth mentioning and stir up the mod forum to make thing interesting. Those are the pressing things on the top of my mind. If not made mod I hope whoever is has this things in the forefront. I hate teh effing clutter in OOT and don't think there is any reason to have a learning curve at this point. 2+2 is enormous and growing exponentially. Learn to conform or go post with yahoo board. Finally, whoever becomes mod needs to know what OOT is about. Know the history and know its evolution so it can return to its glory. [/ QUOTE ] easily the best post in this thread |
