ok just turned 18, make about a grand a month, but most of it goes to helping my mom with bills and my sister with college. I deffintly know i have the skill to play at mose 2$/4$ tables have before but roll was cleaned to pay for a surgy, but i just cant afford it right now and . position, pot odds implied odds and so on. A decent tourny player finish in the money about 80 percent of the time, least 70. so which of the two are best
1. just save up to 3k and play cash games. i know everything there is to know
2. play small buy in tournments that have a big prize pool, more then 1k.
I can only keep like 300 at most from the 1k i make. so which idea is better.

Son, I've played more hands than you. I've won more money than you. And I know that I'm not CLOSE to knowing everything there is to know. The fact that you know 5 terms that the monkey that played in the WSOP probably also knows do not qualify you as anything special.

Keep working and grinding, good luck.

Easy boy.

OP, maybe try grinding levels that support your bankroll. If you have 1k left try NL100 for a bit.

You are no where close to going pro or even beating 2/4 long term.

If you attempt to go pro at this point in time you will probably ruin your life. Good luck with all that.
