i have 400 villain has me covered villain is a very good/solid player who is capable of making moves utg folds, villain limps i have A3s(no hearts) in co i raise to 20, button folds, sb calls, bb folds. flop 3h 3s 4h sb check, villain checks, i bet 44 sb folds, villain calls turn kc villain bets 20, i raise to 110, villain pushes for 226 more i put villain preflop on a small pp what do i do here? is this an very easy call and just badluck when he shows 44? Or can i muck this? |

You raised to steal , flopped trips w/TK and you want to fold? I get all my money here all the time. If he shows 44(I assume he did), don't be results oriented...When he has overpair/king here you will be taking his money.

Pot the flop. Call the shove. Bad luck when you lose man. No need for a bad beat post.

His turn line could easily be because he expects you to raise his bet with any two cards. He could have some sort of decent made hand, or a draw.

Whenever you're shown a set, all you can think of is "how stupid was I not to have seen that" but you forget about the 20 other times it was AA, QQ, AK, etc. You're ahead here way more often than you're behind. Don't beat yourself up over this.
