Default suck outs and river rats

I spent the weekend playing 11 hours of $3/$6 limit at my local casino. I consider myself a pretty tight player and have recently lost my nerve to play hands due to the suckouts and bad beats. Had pocket Kings four times and lost ALL of them to inferior cards like 7 2 offsuit and the like. If I don't flop a set or better, I find myself folding the hand. I have started folding many hands unless I have the nuts. Someone help me get my nerve back. I've played at times the big blind only and folded to any raise. My total loss for the weekend was only $60.00, but I am usually a winner. I won only 3 pots on day 2. Not trying to whine, but frustrated with the potential earnings from all the fish. When the cards aren't there, its hard to win, especially a showdown every hand. When do you play loose? when do yoiu play tight? Or should I throw caution to the wind and play every flop and hope for the best. I am a good no limit player, but the competiveness of my nature wants me to improve my limit play. SOMEONE HELP ME!

Maybe try a couple of the following books:

Small Stakes Hold'em by Miller, Sklansky and Malmuth
Weighing the Odds in Hold'em Poker by King Yao

Both are very good limit hold'em books and they are the two books that I feel made the biggest difference in my playing.

Both books are geared toward lower and easy middle limit games, though Yao's book is actually more focused on middle limit games.

That's great! I think it's wonderful when someone new comes to this forum, rather frustrated over a reality, not only in poker, but especially SS holdem and receives this type of response. I guess we should all expect this from most poker players, and more notably from the likes of long time posters on this site who lack the patience to listen to these "all too familiar" situations that haunt us all, and take pot shots at the tough times that undoubtedly everyone goes through. Perhaps I am being too sensitive because I too, am having ups and downs, but how about some words of support or as Elwood Blues says,
"Why do you have to be so negative? How about some constructive criticism?"
Of course we have seen it all before. Of course we have to get used to it and move on (which, I for one need to work on as much, if not more than the next guy). Of course we have to thicken our skin with these types of situations if we are going to stay with poker, but this seems like an easy shot at a legitimate concern.
I do think it's a funny picture though.

The guy played 11 hours at 3-6 hold em live.

That's at most 250 hands. OMG, i lost 10BB in 250 hands.

I must suck at poker.

Honestly though, the OP probably does suck at poker, but that's a different story.

OP, post some hands, and we will help you get better.

This might make you feel better.

I played 2,000 hands today at 5-10 full, and lost 85BB. So I suck more than you. Mine wasn't suckouts on the river, I just suck.

Fair enough. We've all felt OP's frustration, but his post adresses no serious tactical or strategic questions. It's sort of a long "Poker is HARD!!!"

Well, yeah. Poker IS hard. So, to OP: Welcome to SSHE. If you want help (and I know you do), ask some specific questions. Post some hands. Respond to other people's hands. Good luck!

That's all I am saying. In addition to a funny picture, can't there be a little "manning up" talk. I don't mind someone telling me to stop crying and look at larger sample. I may suck too right now. Admittedly I do not play alot of poker at B&M cardrooms, but each time that I have, it reminds me of the Beach scene from the movie "Eurotrip".
"Bithces?"
Noone has any thought or restraint which tends to cramp any consistency of a 10-12 hr session.
