I used to have a video called NBA Superstars (I think) that had highlight reels of all the best players. The one of MJ would BLOW your minds if you thougt that dunking video was impressive.

Lolz. Mike couldn't dribble a basketball to save his life. Eastern conference finals against the Magic, anybody, anybody? He got the ball taken away in a situation where a competent middle school point guard could've protected it.
And towards the middle of his career he got his ugly flat jump shot to go in, but he set the record for the worst performance in a 3-point contest. 5 damn points.

[/ QUOTE ]

Wow. This is your argument?

I played D1 basketball so it's not like this is a crazy claim.

You could have said you were a former NBA player and It still would have been a crazy claim.

I thought it to be a perfectly reasonable argument. Are you familiar with this particular game I speak of? I wasn't in the mood to write a graduate thesis on the subject. I could; I love talking bsketball.

As much shock as everybody is showing, I have equal shock concerning what's so unbelievable about this. I'm talking two aspects of the game, dribbling and pure-shooting. He's bigger, probably a bit faster, much stronger with better moves. I don't debate that, there's obviously no comparison, i'm just some dude. He just wasn't a point guard or a pure shooting guard. Would it be crazy if I said I can shoot free throws better than Shaq?

Many people can say they have hung out with MJ.

Now how many people can tell the story of the tiem when they denied MJs request to hang out with him?

Now THAT'S A STORY

MJ wasn't even close to the best player. Wilt was so far ahead of anyone else it's not even close.

Let me know when MJ leads the NBA in points, rebounds, and assists. Best defensive player ever, or second to the below. They changed the f'ing rules of the game to make him less dominant, unlike MJ who got to 3step walk anytime he wanted.
Wilt set the rebound record on Bill Russell. 50+ppg for a season. Never fouled out of a game, ever. Averaged over 48mins a game one year.

Most titles? Oh, then Bill Russell's the best. No question.

Yes, because everyone would respond with "so am I". FWIW I was on the 7th grade "B" team at my junior high school.
