Default NFL week 1 picks. (long reasonings).

Well I am going to post for first time mainly to try and gain credibility in discussions on the board. Most often it will only be a few games a week. so here goes:

1. Cinicinnati +1.5. Shoot out type game I am expecting which favors Cinci as KC is lacking in Wideouts as Tony gonzalez will need to start out game blocking more to try and get run game started. Main reason for this pick is that Cincis offense is leathal and missing housh this weekend wont hurt them much as Henry can step up nicely in that spot. KC offense will have trouble running the ball with their O-line missing 2 main components from last year. I also like Rudi Johnson in this match-up as well to help Cinci control the ball.

2. Baltimore +3. Tampa will most likely be playing without both starting gaurds in their O-line. This will hurt their running and passing game against Baltimore healthy DEF (Reed, and Lewis). Simms is still young and will have a tough time with Baltimores DEF. Tampa still has a good Def but not as explosive as once were. Baltimore's Offense will be explosive this season as coach can open up the playbook with McNair at the helm. Team is a cohesive unit (including bothsides of the ball. Ray Lewis Loves McNair.) McNair has his old favorite target back in Mason who will play and he loves his new Target in Heap. The running game will be strong as if Jamal Lewis isn't 100% Mike Anderson can step in nicely if needed.

Let me know what you all think.

If KC cant run the ball against one of the worst rush defenses in the league I will eat my hat.

"The running game will be strong as if Jamal Lewis isn't 100% Mike Anderson can step in nicely if needed."

Awesome. Except Musa is the #2 back in Baltimore, not Anderson.

WTF? why are you betting both sides of this game without any middle opportunity at all?

There's a 10 pt. side man. If Pats win by 10 he wins one and pushes the other. I don't think Pats win by 10 often enough to offset juice however. Seems slim EV and high varaince if at all.

very nice picks. Not only did you win both, you were totally right on both calls- no fluke wins here.
