Default At what level should you start using tricky/variation plays?

I'm referring to live, as opposed to on-line play. I'm thinking probably at the 10-20 or 15-30 games as anything less than that it seems to me the majority of players are generally "unaware" and you should just play standard ABC poker. I'm curious to know what others view on this is...

The level at which you play against opponents regularly and when those opponents are fairly observant. I've used deceptive plays (very rarely) at 2-5, 5-10, and 10-20 live. I only really felt the need to at 10-20, but I only have about 10 hours of play over 3 sessions at that limit (currently phasing it in).

I think it is more table dependent. I have been at lower limit tables that were full of good enough players (bad table selection on my part)but for the most part I would agree with your statement.

Although, I think it can also be player dependent as well. There are times when the few good players at the table end up being the only players in the hand.
