Default Hero rivers 2 pair against tightish dude.

eat 2: Villain ($128.45 in chips)
Seat 4: duderski ($194.50 in chips)
Seat 9: Hero [AC,9H] ($151.40 in chips)

ANTES/BLINDS
dude posts blind ($0.50), Hero posts blind ($1).

PRE-FLOP
Villain bets $3, Dude folds, Hero calls $2.

FLOP (6) [board cards AS,5C,6D ]
Hero checks, Villain bets $5, Hero calls $5.

TURN (16) [board cards AS,5C,6D,8S ]
Hero checks, Villain bets $10, Hero calls $10. (Im not sure about this call? Please discuss)

RIVER (36) [board cards AS,5C,6D,8S,9S ]
Hero checks, Villain bets $15, Hero bets $45

Is there value in this river raise or no? If there is, I should be folding turn, and if not, I should be calling the turn, no?

fold pf, although if he has been raising frequently, repopping is fine. actually, 3-handed, A9o is fine i guess.

River is slim, although if he calls with AT+, then okay.

Im pretty sure he calls with it. and he def calls with any other Ax 2pr. Since he was pretty tight I believed he would def have AJ+ here.

Vilain is tight in 3handed?

In that king of board, Ill play more aggressively to get info and to cut the odds against straight and flush draw. As played, on the river IMO its better to open bet or check call, because you make him fold if he have something to pay you (only a 7 give you a straight).

I was playing at this table, but i was sitting out to go smoke. When I came back, the tightish dude was commenting on this hand. Gimme had let me know he posts at 2+2 and since I missed the hand, I asked him to post it.

I have to say that having played with the tightish dude for the last 2 hours, his range of hands given his betting here would likely be a strong Ace. He played a lot of hands from the blinds very passively.

After looking at the HH, I think the raise is fine. Like all strat posts, it's very read dependant.

I lead the river for like $25. Villain's calling range is most likely AK-AJ and any 2pair (unlikely). However, if you raise the river, I think a tight villain is folding tptk, especially after that weak river bet.
